New project

Reengineering of a plant for freezing avocados, mangoes, pineapples, strawberries and blueberries in Peru.

By installing a new IQF freezing tunnel that has almost twice the capacity, we must completely reengineer the plant.

  1. New plant layout, based on flow analysis techniques and relational diagrams.
  2. New refrigeration system and/or expansion.
  3. Cooling system designs to ensure that the product enters the freezing tunnel at 3°C.
  4. Design of foundations, structural support and drainage for the machinery and process.
  5. Calculation of the capacity of all processing, ripening and storage machinery.
  6. Increase in the capacity of the pneumatic and water systems to the plant and tunnel.
  7. Calculation of the installed power and increase in the capacity of the electrical substation.

Engineering work must be carried out, led and executed by specialists in the critical areas. This type of project is not a simple replacement of equipment; it is a complex intervention which, if not carried out correctly, can result in inefficiency, operational cost overruns, product failures (freezing quality) and even safety risks.
